NM Bluebird Fund program offers discounts/rebates for trees
Our 2020 tree rebate program has now reached capacity and is closed for the year. Please check back in spring 2021 to apply for next year's program.
Ornamental fruits are a great source of food for songbirds that winter in Manitoba, they provide bird habitat in the summer, and they also make beautiful additions to the garden! To help stop the decline of these birds Nature Manitoba wants to see more of these trees in yards across the city. The Nature Manitoba Bluebird Fund makes it easy and affordable.
Step 1: Have a look at our list of eligible trees to see which one suits your yard and space
Step 2: Phone or email Nature Manitoba and we will send you a claim form
Step 3: Fill out the claim form and take it to one of our participating vendors (Ron Paul Greenhouses or St. Mary's Nursery & Garden Centre)
Step 4: Select your tree and enjoy an instant 50% discount when you pay for your tree (up to $55)
Step 5: Take great care of your new tree! If your tree is still alive after 3 years contact our office and the NM Bluebird Fund will reimburse you for the other half of your tree (up to another $55)
Since most of the eligible trees cost around $90 plus tax, the NM Bluebird Fund essentially gives you a free tree - limit 3 trees per household.
Contact the Nature Manitoba office at 204-943-9029 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more info or to request your claim form. Please note: limited forms are available per year. Our 2020 tree rebate program has now reached capacity and is closed for the year. Please check back in spring 2021 to apply for next year's program.
