This outing was originally scheduled as a cycle from Matlock to Gimli. Has been changed to cycling the St. James area along the Yellow Ribbon Trail, thru the Assinboine Forest and on to Fort Whyte Centre for lunch (bring your own lunch or purchase at the Centre), returning along the Hart Trail. Approximate distance 40 kms.

Skiiing, or snowshoe from Lakeview Hecla Resort to various destinations on the island, using the groomed trails provided by Manitoba Parks. Remeber your park pass!

Flat or gently rolling terrain - 8 kms of trails through mixed spruce, pine and birch forests. Lunch at Sophie's Restaurant in Hadashville. An easy ski.
**Must register by February 1st in order to make restaurant reservations.
20 kms of classic and 14 kms of skate ski trails of varying difficulty, from easy to difficult. Easier trails are toward the east side, more difficult trails and hills to the west side. Central warming hut and new clubhouse at the trail head.
In case the Snake Dens aren’t ready on this date, the alternate outing will be paddling on the Seine River with leaders Pat and John Gray. An update will be provided to the Grey Hares list as spring approaches.
