Mantario Summer Program

Whether you are an experienced back-country paddler or a complete beginner, our Mantario Summer Program is a great way to experience the incredible scenic beauty of the largest intact boreal forest in the world! Our experienced volunteer guides will take you on a full-day canoe trip to the Mantario Wilderness Cabin, where you can settle in for several days of learning, exploring and relaxing, then another full-day canoe trip back. Each trip features a unique theme such as astronomy, yoga, botany, and more. Trips vary in length. All trips include use of Nature Manitoba's canoes, paddles, safety equipment. Accommodations and most food are provided.

COVID-19 and the Mantario Summer Program

We are committed to a healthy and safe environment on Summer Program trips for our trip leaders and all participants. Our trip leaders are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. In light of ongoing COVID-19 infections in our community, we highly recommend that all participants are also fully vaccinated for everyone's safety.

To ensure our trips are healthy we kindly ask that all trip leaders and participants:
1) stay home if they are sick or have tested positive for COVID-19, or are self-isolating.
2) if possible, take a self-administered COVID-19 rapid antigen test within 24 hrs of trip departure to confirm that they test negative.

In the case of last minute cancellation due to COVID-19 or another illness, participants can transfer to a subsequent trip or receive a refund, less the $50 deposit up until the time of trip departure. Families on Family Week will forfeit a maximum of one $50 refund per family. Thank you for keeping our community healthy!
