Please note: Out of respect for their comfort, vaccine requirements are up to the discretion of our volunteer trip leaders. All birding trips require proof of double vaccination against COVID-19, and masks must be worn when in enclosed spaces (car-pooling, etc). Contact Rudolf Koes at 204-661-0763 or rkoes@mymts.net for more details.

This outing will provide a good chance for seeing many waterfowl, grebes and herons, raptors and shorebirds. A visit to the PR. 227 garbage dump may turn up a rare gull. We will depart from the northwest corner of the Garden City shopping mall parking lot at 7:30 a.m.

Registration commences May 9. The Rural Municipality of Tache has created the brand new Monominto Trail ski and hiking system by reclaiming its old landfill dump area in the midst of a forest (ca. 7 km). Participants must be fully Covid vaccinated, adhere to all Covid protocols (like mine), and be Nature Manitoba members; documented proof of everything is required.

Family Nature Club invites all nature nuts ages 8-13 (accompanied by a parent/guardian/caregiver) to go explore the English Gardens and surrounding trails! We’ll be on the lookout for new birds that have just arrived, bugs that have emerged, and plants that have started sprouting in the gardens. Spring is in the air! Please make sure to dress for the weather as we will meet rain or shine!  Feel free to bring binoculars and field guides if you like.

Family Nature Club is free for Nature Manitoba members but does have a limit of 18 people in total for each event. We want to make sure that everyone has a chance to participate.

Not a Nature Manitoba member yet? That’s okay! Try out Nature Club once for FREE and see if it’s for you.

In the event of inclement weather Nature Club will be cancelled. Inclement Weather includes extreme cold, thunder & lightning, extreme heat, or extreme weather events.

Nature Manitoba's Current Covid Protocols can be found HERE.
