The perfect way to learn about birds and birding! If you are interested in learning the basics of birding but don't know where to start or you need help identifying birds, this series of outings is for you. The outings take place every Tuesday evening from 2 to 30 May and always start at 6:30 p.m. These outings will be led by Ward Christianson and Marlene Waldron, and possibly other knowledgeable birders. Hike in, trash out. Every day is Earth Day, so we shall start with picking up the eternal garbage around Selkirk; this is mandatory participation if one wants to do the subsequent hike. Then we shall hike around for awhile and hopefully ponder the clean environment: 5 - 8 kms. Please bring your own garbage bags, gloves, sanitizer, wet wipes, and reachy stick apparatus thing (Dollaram) or whatever you use to do clean-up.
