Launch location: PTH 9 & Willow Creek Road 107N

Time: We will meet at the launch location at 10:30 AM.
Or meet at Grassmere Family Restaurant (3750 McPhillips St / PTH 8 at Grassmere Road, 1 km north of the North Perimeter Highway) at 9:30 AM to carpool / convoy. It will take a few minutes to form carpools (and pay the owner or buy something for the privilege of leaving cars on his large lot).
Travel map.

Description: We will paddle out the creek, up the lake (winds permitting) , lunch and swim at the sandbar on the lagoon, explore the birds of the lagoon, and then shortcut back to the launch location via the channel. Of course, ice cream in Winnipeg Beach on the way home!

Paddle distance: 4 hours / 13 km.

Toilets: ... at the launch location and at Grassmere Family Restaurant.

Boats: If you don’t have a canoe or kayak, we can try to partner you with a canoe owner who is looking for a bow paddler.

Mandatory safety equipment for all Grey Hares paddling activities:
• A Personal Floatation Device (PFD).
• A sound signalling device (AKA "whistle").
• A bailer.
• A buoyant heaving line (AKA "rope") at least 15 metres long.
• Extra warm clothes.
A sponge is a good idea (especially for a kayak) because it helps you completely drain your boat.

Rating: Intermediate stern paddlers and kayakers.

Bring: Lunch, water, sunscreen, and your name tag.
