Please join Roger for hike to Elk Island from Victoria Beach / Swimming is definitely  an option / The hike involves crossing a narrow channel to island . Potluck and BBQ will be held afterwards.

Please join  Roger for a weekend trip to Steep Rock north of Winnipeg along Lake Manitoba . Paddling and hiking will be done . There is a possibility of visting caves .

Join Roger for hike at south end of Mantario Trail in Whiteshell Provincial Park . We will go in direction of Caribou Lake and see how close we get to lake  of if we make it up to lake , Terrain is rocky and has up and downs .

Potluck and BBQ will follow.

Please join Roger for a hike in Riverton including in the Riverton Importand Bird Area . Potluck and BBQ will follow .

Meet at Larters gravel parking lot on River Road at 1pm. Distances 18-48 KM. Stop for lunch at Skinners restaurant. 

Nature Manitoba is pleased to once again be hosting a pit stop for 2018 Bike Week in Winnipeg! Stop by our pit stop on Norwood Bridge beside Lyndale Drive between 6:30 and 9am!

We will  start at St Vital Duck Pond at 10 am and cycle for about 2 hours at moderate steady pace .

FOR NATURE MANITOBA MEMBERS ONLY - Hike for about 10-12km in the Stephenfield/Carman area, then enjoy Carman's second fall dinner of the year. 

FOR NATURE MANITOBA MEMBERS ONLY. Hike around the Manitoba Escarpment for about 10-12 km, then enjoy the displays of inexplicably huge vegetables (pumpkin, squash, tomato, watermelon) at the Roland Pumpkin Fair. Realizing even you cannot eat that much, we will avail ourselves of smaller portions at the town's full-course harvest dinner. 

Join Roger on hike at Delta Marsh beside  Lake Manitoba.Possibility of fishing silver bass , carp or other. There will be a potluck and BBQ afterwards . Meeting place is  Polo Park Shopping Centre at southwest corner of parking lot at 9 am .

At the north end of Winnipeg, hike for about two hours alongside the riverine trails through Kildonan Park and a riparian cottonwood forest. Conclude with a potluck lunch at your fearless leader's home.

Please join me for a approximately 2 hour hike starting at 10 am at Duck Pond Shelter in St Vital Park.

For Nature Manitoba members only. Hike the Lime Kiln Trail in Birds Hill Park (ca. 8 km.) starting in late afternoon, bring food for a potluck in the warming shack, then return in the evening with a full moon rising. Depending on the amount of snow and if this becomes a groomed ski trail, may have to switch locations.
