Who are the Grey Hares?
Grey Hares is a group within Nature Manitoba of retired and partly retired people who enjoy nature, new experiences, making friends, being physically active, doing meaningful things, and sharing time with like-minded people.
There is an activity every Wednesday during the day, organized by members of the group.
We cross country ski, snowshoe, skate, and walk in the winter, and we hike, bike, paddle, and camp in the summer. We also have many different educational and cultural activities, including tours at places of interest.
We carpool to destinations and share expenses. Most activities are free, and some include lunch. Our pace of activity tends to be at the lower end of speed, but we often organize into smaller groups of similar ability. Nobody gets left behind. An activity’s difficulty is rated using Nature Manitoba’s Trip Rating Guidelines.
We are always looking for new places to go, events to attend, experiences to share … and new members. Our lifetime membership fee is only $5, but Grey Hares members must also be current members of Nature Manitoba. We welcome people to try us out before becoming a member, so please consider coming out to one of our activities.

Grey Hares follows all provincial health orders and masks are recommended but optional at indoor activities.
