Cycle from Larter's Golf Course to Selkirk Park for a picnic lunch. We will be stopping to regroup at Lockport, Lower Fort Garry, and Selkirk along the way. Cycle time about 1 1/2 hours each way.  We will not be touring Lower Fort Garry on this trip.

Hike on a new section of Trans Canada Trail in Lac du Bonnet area

Grand Marais and Grand Beach Hike

Hike along the Trans Canada Trail on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg, from the Lakeshore Heights cottage area right up to Grand Beach Provincial Park (ca. 10-12 km.).

Paddle down the Brokenhead River

Near Vivian and Nourse on Highway 15, which is close to Winnipeg. This upper section of the Brokenhead is best paddled in May or June. The Brokenhead canoe routes are well described in “Through Field and Forest: A Canoe Companion for the Brokenhead River” by Dusty Moulinski. Note: This is a new exploratory trip for the Grey Hares.

Cycle starting from Larter's Golf Course to Lower Fort Garry

Tour Lower Fort Garry (free for Canada's 150 anniversary this year). Meet at 9:00 am in the parking lot by the river across from Larter's. Pack a lunch and bring your bike lock.
