People passionate about nature

Ken and Marcelle Brook

Service Award recipients 1985

Ken has been an active member of our Wildlife Committee for a number of years. Both he and Marcelle created, trucked and staffed our display for Wildlife Week at Polo Park for at least the past 2 years and probably the past 3 years. After staffing the display almost continually for the week in 1984 Ken’s feet were so sore he could barely walk. They put together an MNS display in the Assiniboine Credit Union on at least a couple of occasions. Ken also drove many miles to various schools in the city assisting Brenda Carson with the MNS sponsored nature education program in 1983.

As well, they have both been faithful members of the Bulletin mailing crew for many years.

In their own quiet way, these 2 people have contributed much to the Society in terms of equipment and supplies, time, labour and mileage, and all with no thought of reimbursement. They are indeed worthy recipients of the Service Award.
