President’s Award recipient 1998
Melanie Wood has been the chair of the Parks Committee for at least three years, a job no one stands in line for. When I became President of the MNS I stepped down as chair of CPAWS, an organization that concerns itself with wilderness issues in the province. I thought I would have time to be part of the Parks Committee but this was not to be. Melanie has always made me very welcome when I turn up to the odd meeting and her reports in the Bulletin and at the indoor meeting help me stay abreast of what is going on.
