George Lake - Whiteshell - Cycle

This will be our first out of city ride into Whiteshell Provincial Park onto the Precambrian Shield up to the south tip of George Lake (https://www.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=50.110710,-95.599450). We will meet at 9:30 am in the parking lot between McDonalds and Pizza Hut off of Femor Ave and Lakewood Blvd. I'm not sure if a Provincial park pass is required, but it could be purchased at the Liquor Mart near our meeting place. Those that decide to car poll should offer $10 to cover the cost of transportation. At our destination, we will travel north-east over the Whiteshell River, pass Bryan Lake, until we reach George lake. It is recommended to bring food and water for a 23 km ride (4-5 hrs.) in addition to the 2-hrs drive both ways. The natural waters are clean to drink after filtration, which will be provided if needed.
