Dragon Boating on the Red River

Dragon Boating on the Red River.  Try something new or experience it all over again! Paddles and PFD’s supplied. Start/end at Canoe/Kayak Club, 80 Churchill Drive. Cost about $100.00 for equipment rental, split between # of participants. Dragon boat can accommodate 20 paddlers.

Hike in Whiteshell Provincial Park

Cycle from Larter's Golf Course to Selkirk Park

Cycle from Larter's Golf Course to Selkirk Park for a picnic lunch. We will be stopping to regroup at Lockport, Lower Fort Garry, and Selkirk along the way. Cycle time about 1 1/2 hours each way.  We will not be touring Lower Fort Garry on this trip.

Grand Marais and Grand Beach Hike

Paddle down the Brokenhead River

Near Vivian and Nourse on Highway 15, which is close to Winnipeg. This upper section of the Brokenhead is best paddled in May or June. The Brokenhead canoe routes are well described in “Through Field and Forest: A Canoe Companion for the Brokenhead River” by Dusty Moulinski. Note: This is a new exploratory trip for the Grey Hares.
