34 Grey Hares have reserved campsites for this 4-day / 3 night camping / paddling / hiking trip at Caddy Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park from Monday June 12 to Thursday June 15. Travel and boat partnerships have been formed, although one registrant who has a canoe needs a stern paddler. Two campsites are still available in Caddy Lake Campground, so we can continue to accept more people who are interested in this activity. Please contact us with questions or your interest.
The Caddy Lake campground is small and the campsites aren’t very private, but that shouldn’t be a problem because we have a cluster of sites for mid-week in mid-June. The nightly camping fee is an incredibly inexpensive $11.55 per site per night. (We considered the Caddy Lake Group Use Area, but parking is 100 metres downhill/uphill from the group use campsites.)
Key features of almost all Grey Hares camping trips include carpooling, sharing of campsites, canoe partnering, and cooperative suppers at Grey Hares' Eureka Northern Breeze screen tent.
Possible paddling and hiking activities include:
- Paddle the Caddy Lake tunnels. If water levels are very high (2022), this is a no-go.

YouTube - Paddle Hanson’s Creek toward Frances Lake. There are a few portages and many beaver dams, especially if water levels are low, so we wouldn't make it all the way to Frances Lake as a day trip.
