Tall Grass Prairie Land Transfer Celebration

Details

Event Date:

Thu, April 22nd

In 2020 Nature Manitoba made the decision to donate our 885 acres of tall grass prairie to the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC). We are grateful that NCC will continue our legacy of protecting and managing this important part of Manitoba's natural history.

To celebrate this occasion, please join us and NCC at a virtual celebration on Earth Day, April 22nd, 2021.

Long-time chair of our habitat committee, Marilyn Latta, will be speaking about her work to save the prairies in the 1980s. And NCC's Tall Grass Prairie Natural Area manager, Tim Teetaert, will talk about his work to conserve the prairies for the future.
