Bees are of critical importance to temperate ecosystems and pollinator-dependent crops. In the last decade, there has been increased concern over global bee declines.  Unfortunately, basic information about native bees is lacking. In this presentation, I will highlight the remarkable   and underappreciated diversity of Manitoba's native bees, risks that bees face and steps we can take to mitigate bee declines.

Registration for the 2024 Nature Manitoba workshops will open for members on January 5, 2024
