This is What's in our Water

As scientific equipment has become more specialized in the past decades, it is now possible to screen our environment for hundreds of pesticides and other chemicals, as well as for thousands of bacteria and  other micro-organisms. It is certain that most humans are frequently exposed to chemical mixtures and micro-organisms in our environment. Surface water and ground water are where our drinking water comes from, and when source water is contaminated, it can make treating drinking water more complex.. Authorities, such as the Government of Canada and the European Union, may have different opinions about what are safe levels of contaminant exposure, but beyond that, access to clean running drinking water is a human right.. Within the above context, this presentation highlights some of the water research conducted by Dr Farenhorst and her collaborators.
