Walk Into A Tree

Walk Into A Tree. Casual 5 to 7 km round-trip walk/hike along the Red River through giant cottonwoods in Kildonan Park and Rivergrove. We will visit a tree you can walk into without bouncing off of and that is one of the few living things you can hug from the inside.

Pembina Valley Provincial Park

Hike 'n Eat: Central Manitoba to St. Joseph

But as it is difficult to assess how much snow will not have melted in the rural areas, we shall hike around some communities, then attend one of the province's finest fall dinners French-Canadian style, and yes, they are shamelessly promoting their bacon pie. Mantario Trail South Trailhead hike

Meeting place is at Red River Coop Parking lot at Fermor Ave  ( Transcanada Hwy) at Southdale Shopping Mall at 9 am . We will hke for about 2 hours in and 2 hours back . Bring water, lunch and apprpriate clothing and footwear . Trail is in Whiteshell Provincial Park so driver should have provincial park pass .
